Seattle Day 4- Time to Leave!

My stay in Seattle has come to an end.

I am soon off to Portland and California as soon as my clothes dry and after a trip to REI for a good knife and some bear mace.

Seattle was fun. I enjoyed seeing these old faces again. Smoking hookah and having an overall blast. The day before my friend Nathan and I walked downtown. It was incredible. There is something about big cities that just make me feel so poetic. They’re the ultimate stamp of mankind’s presence on the earth. Ghettos even more so, because most of the time a ghetto is a concrete jungle roamed with the insane and the homeless, it truly is the mark of humanity. Something that nature can never really reclaim, and I find it funny that it is this, one of the foulest standards we have for ourselves that forges our immortal mark on the earth.

My last day here Ole and Wade threw a party. It was awesome. I’ve definitly gotten better at networking. I ended up drifting to all sorts of people at the party, and even after the party was gone it was not over. We walked through the streets of the U District and found more parties that I just blatantly went into. It’s so incredibly easy to win people over with a joke and a smile. I couldn’t believe it.

I even walked with a group of strangers to this Mexican restaurant my friends left to (I had no idea where it was, but I heard the strangers yelling it out joyously. So, decided to hop into their little social bubble.) They were cool.

Met a lot of interesting people. Maybe even some lasting friends.

So, Seattle, you’re cool with me pal.
