Backpacking America Day 1- Seattle
Technically it is day two backpacking Seattle. I got in so late though that I was far too tired to really type anything up.
So I relaxed and read some more of the Jungle by Upton Sinclair. An incredible book, Chicago made my list because of it. The novel is one of three books I brought with me, with the other two being Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.
Pretty cool stuff.
On the traveling home front I’m at Ole’s house now. It’s really nice. The town seems cool though I have yet to see it by the light of day.
The plane ride over was fun. Ended up sitting next to a man in the Army who is being trained in special ops to become a weapons master. The training he detailed was some of the craziest shit I’ve ever heard. Was pretty impressed how he was putting himself through literal mental torture to see how far he could go.
The rest of my first night in Seattle was spent in front of a concrete park in downtown. It’s so weird there is not that many trees or anything of that nature. The jungle here is composed of cement and stone, civilization and professions that stream through the crossroads.
I like it.
Well, time to explore : )
