The Transient Job

I’ve been thinking lately how can someone combine the art of traveling with the art of business, or work if you prefer to call it that.

So I’ve come up with some qualities of the Transient Job.

1. It must be able to go anywhere.
This one I assumed would be obvious. If you’re going to be traveling it has to be something without any real boundaries, whether it be town-wise, city-wise, state-wise or even internationally. It has to be something that you can just “Go!” with.

2. It has to be small or something backed up by a corporate inventory.
If you’re traveling you have to move stuff around with you in order to sell or do whatever you’re doing. So it has to be something small you can take with you, following the same philosophy here of Quality #1. Alas you’re far better off without having to deal with even the annoyance of carrying your own inventory by just having it backed up by a corporate website from where inventory can be ordered from.

Which brings me to my next point

3. An internet-based commerce activity
Internet is all-the-rage and gives the best new opportunity to go literally ANYWHERE and still be in business. Not to mention besides traveling to promote whatever you are doing you can also sit at home or wherever and continually promote using various internet advertising tools. Thus making your very home into your office (I know this is the dream of many, and many have been turned bitter by the whole concept from failing time and time again. In my opinion, it is usually the person who tried it who is at fault, success just doesn’t come without hard work.)

4. Broad Market
Don’t get me wrong, you could target a niche market with whatever you are doing and still travel, it is just not as easy. If you’re traveling you’re running in and out of various demographics. You’re going here and there and might not even know what “there” is much less it’s demographics!!
It’s very powerful to be able to have broad product audience. Find something that is a huge market and you’ll find your chances of making it into a transient job a whole lot easier since you break down so many barriers just by having that built-in broad audience.

Conclusions of jobs that are of these qualities? Well, there is always sales, real estate or life insurance agents, and of course distributors of certain products.

If you want more information on how you personally could get a job or start doing something with these qualities, just message me at gregoryelfrink@gmail.com, I’ll tell yah what’s out there : )

You can travel and work when it comes to an internet-based business. There are companies out there who are looking for telecommuters to perform work for them. And you can work from anywhere in the world as long as you have a decent internet connection.

    I totally agree Colleen!

The new wave of internet technology and inventory-on-the-go has allowed for an incredible abundance of such jobs to become not only opened, but thriving with real-income.

Thanks for the comment : )
